How It Works

Bookings are accepted 24 hours a day through the booking system, and the base rate is paid in advance by credit card or bank transfer. On the day, we need the original driving licence of everyone who will drive. Return is by 18:00, and cancellation fees apply from 7 days before the rental date.

From booking to return

You pick up and return the car at our store. A free shuttle runs between the store and the airport or port.

   We check your licence and the car, then you are off.

   No refuelling, no damage check. Just bring it back.

Booking

1. Check availabilityChoose your pick-up and return dates and times and the store in the booking system to see available cars and prices.
2. Choose your carYou book a specific model. Insurance, no-refuel return and the shuttle are included in the displayed price. If you need a child seat, add it under options on the next screen (paid).
3. PayThe base rate is paid by credit card or bank transfer when you book.
4. Tell us your flightIf you want to be picked up at the airport or port, give us your flight number or ship arrival time. The shuttle is free.

New bookings and changes are accepted up to one hour before the rental starts.

Documents

• The original driving licence of everyone who will drive
• Visitors from outside Japan: an International Driving Permit (1949 Geneva Convention format) or, for licences from certain non-Geneva-Convention countries that Japan recognises (such as Switzerland, Germany, France, Belgium, Monaco and Taiwan), your home licence with an official Japanese translation, plus your passport
• Payment for anything due at the store (cash, credit card or contactless)

Note: an International Driving Permit issued under the Vienna Convention only is not valid for driving in Japan. Please check with your licensing authority before you travel.

On the day

After landing at Miyako Airport

1. 01Arrivals lobbyCollect your bags and come out to the lobby. Our staff will be holding a sign.
2. 02Shuttle to the storeThe store is opposite Miyako Post Office, about 8 minutes straight from the airport.
3. 03Paperwork and goWe check your licence, fill in the rental form and look over the car together.

1. When you arrive at the airport or port, meet our staff holding a sign and take the shuttle to the store (Miyako Airport / Shimojishima Airport · Naha Airport)
2. At the store, fill in the rental agreement and show the licences of everyone who will drive
3. Check the car for existing damage together and get a walkthrough of the equipment (navigation, Bluetooth, child seats)
4. Off you go. The contact number for during your rental is on the rental agreement

Return

• Return by 18:00. The last shuttle to Miyako Airport leaves at 17:45.
• Returns between 8:00–9:00 and 18:00–19:00 are possible for an out-of-hours fee of ¥3,300.
• No need to refuel; any fuel level is fine. No need to refuel
• Extension fees and other settlements are paid on return (cash, credit card or contactless payment at both stores).
• No pro-rated refund is given if you return early for your own reasons.
• Returning somewhere other than the pick-up point (one-way) is Miyakojima store only and paid. Delivery and one-way return

Cancellation policy

If your flight is changed or cancelled because of an approaching typhoon, you can change or cancel your booking free of charge for the dates your airline treats as affected. While a storm warning is in effect, the free airport shuttle is suspended.
